A & B Meet Information

A Meet Information

Each team is allowed a total of 32 divers in a meet.

  • Freshman divers (age 10 and under) must complete 3 dives – a front dive, a back dive, and an optional dive (flip, inward, reverse or twist).
  • Junior divers (11 and 12) must complete a front dive, back dive, and 2 optional dives.
  • Intermediate divers (13 and 14) must complete a front dive, back dive, and 3 optional dives (for a total of 5 dives).
  • Senior divers (15+) need 6 dives including a front dive, back dive, inward dive, and three optional dives.
  • If your new diver is still attaining these skills, there will be meet opportunities for them to dive. We have approximately 50 divers this year. Given vacations, camps, etc, a diver will most likely get to dive at a dual meet if they have the required list of dives.
  • Meets begin promptly at 6:00pm.
  • When we are "home team", we are obliged to supply:
    • 1 referee, 2 judges, 1 announcer, 1 meet secretary, 1 ribbon writer, and 2 table workers
    • Volunteers are needed to help set up.
    • All parents are expected to stay and help cleanup.
  • When we are the "visiting team", we need to supply:
    • 3 judges and 2 table workers.
  • Setup Volunteers (home meets only) need to be at the pool by no later than 4:30. All other volunteers need to be there by 5:30. All parents and divers are expected to help clean up after the meet.

It is important that we know what meets your diver will miss. Please email your team reps as soon as you know your child will be missing a meet and let Coach Marc or Coach Laura know.

B Meet Information

There is no limit to the number of divers who can compete. However, an A Meet divers who has placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in an A meet may not compete in B meets. B meets are developmental meets and all divers who do not compete in the A meets are encouraged to attend so they can get used to the meet atmosphere and have a chance to compete with divers at their skill level. Jumps are allowed in B meets so if a diver doesn't have their a dive they can do a jump. Dives can also be performed from the platform. Coach assisted dives are also allowed however the diver's score will be a maximum of 2 for that dive.
