This evening, Vienna Woods won the Division 4 Relay Carnival in dominant fashion. We faced off against the other five teams in our division in a meet made up of only relays - 22 of them. We won 8 of them, including the 15-18 girls, who broke a five-year-old record in the 200 meter medley relay. Congrats to Elliot Rowan, Hanna Cline, Alexa Morgan, and Anna Morgan and to all the VW swimmers.

It's a bit late so I will have to do my typical review of all historical results to see how many relay carnivals we have won over the years, but it is only a handful in our 67 year history. The last time we won was in 2018 when several of our coaches and 15-18s were some of the youngest on the team.

The best part of winning this meet is that it is the ultimate team effort. Everyone should take great pride in this victory, including the swimmers in the pool, the coaches who prepped them, the swimmers who weren't there tonight but pushed their teammates to compete for the scarce relay spots, and the parents who give up so much time volunteering to make these crazy weeks of a summer an environment in which the kids get to be their best for one great night.
